I was just wondering how it worked.

Could always go in and find out. [ although.... ] Wouldn't recommend it though.

I don't intend to. Hanamura-san told me it healed his wounds, but we worked out that it may have caused him to lose something else.

[handfast]

Lose something? Like what?

A part of himself.

I'd heard myths, about rivers that had special effects. Some that could heal, but some that took your memories. It wasn't a memory, exactly, but I wonder if there's a price these waters demand.

[handfast]

while he thinks, he drops down to take a seat next to mafuyu. but like a respectful two feet away. ]

Considering how the rest of this place has been, that wouldn't be a surprise.

[ between the curses, the (practical?) jokes, and the faces of those he knows and loves appearing when he least expects, it's hard for him to trust that this place has only good intentions. ]

But it might be better to lose something small than to die.

I think it depends on the level of injury. We don't know how small or how lasting this loss could be.

It's hard to trust things I don't fully understand.

[ Especially here. ]

We can't stop ourselves from getting hurt though.

Unless you've got plenty of medical supplies lying around, there'll be cases where we'll have to risk it.

It would be nice if I did. And I'm not saying that it should be entirely avoided.

But I do think people should be aware of those risks first.

Think we should have some sort of meetup where we spread the word?

[ ah but ]

I do have some supplies in case anyone doesn't want to go swimming though.

Supplies? Did they come with you?

We got them at Bostco. [ does not mention anything else that happened there. ] There's not enough for everyone but it should be enough for a few emergencies.

Let's hope people remain largely uninjured going forward and deal with it accordingly.

It took longer than I expected, but most of my energy is back now.

I haven't really been able to determine a set amount yet, and I don't feel like experimenting.

But I may just be tired, normally.

Are you usually this tired? Back home?

No. But my life and my mental state aren't usually as threatened as they are here.
